HERAWATY SAMOSIR: The effect of NaCl salt soil to growth and production
M2 Soybeans generation radiated by gamma ray, supervised by Rosmayati
and Emmy Harso Kardhinata.
Mutation in plant breeding increase the variety of genetic plant. The
objective of research is to know response M2 Soybeans generation
radiated by gamma ray to concentrate NaCl salt in soil. The research
was conducted at Green House Faculty of Agriculture, University of
North Sumatra in February - May 2011 using factorial completely
randomized design with 2 factors as population M2 Soybeans generation
(10, 20, 30 krad per plant) and NaCl (0, 1500, 3000, 4500 ppm).
Parameters measured were plant germination, viability, root height,
weight of dry root, weight of dry leaf, number of pods per plant, number
of empty pods per plant and weight of 100 seeds .
The results showed dosage of gamma ray on M2 Soybeans generation was
significantly affected to plant germination and viability. NaCl
significantly affected to plant germination, viability, root height,
weight of dry root, weight of dry leaf, number of pods per plant and
weight of 100 seeds number of but not significant on empty pods per
plant
The interaction between population M2 Soybeans generation and NaCl
significantly affected to plant germination, viability, weight of dry
leaf and number of pods per plant but not significant on root height,
weight of dry root, number of empty pods per plant and weight of 100
seeds
HERAWATY SAMOSIR: Pengaruh Kadar Garam NaCl Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan
Produksi Kedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) Generasi Kedua (M2) Hasil
radiasi Sinar Gamma dibimbing oleh Rosmayati dan Emmy Harso Kardhinata.
Teknik mutasi dalam bidang pemuliaan tanaman dapat meningkatkan
keragaman genetik tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
respon tanaman kedelai generasi kedua hasil radiasi sinar gamma terhadap
kadar garam NaCl dalam tanah. Penelitian telah dilakukan di Rumah Kaca
Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara pada Februari sampai Mei
2011, menggunakan rancangan acak Lengkap faktorial dengan 2 faktor
yaitu Populasi regeneran M2 (0, 10, 20, 30 krad) dan Garam NaCl (0,
1500, 3000, 4500 ppm). Parameter yang diamati adalah Waktu berkecambah,
Daya Kecambah Benih, Panjang akar, Bobot Kering Akar, Bobot Kering
Tanaman, Jumlah Polong Isi per Tanaman, Jumlah Polong Hampa per Tanaman
dan berat 100 biji.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis radiasi gamma pada generasi M2
berpengaruh nyata terhadap Waktu berkecambah dan Daya Kecambah Benih.
Faktor garam NaCl berpengaruh nyata terhadap Waktu berkecambah, Daya
Kecambah Benih, Panjang akar, Bobot Kering Akar, Bobot Kering Tanaman,
Jumlah Polong Isi per Tanaman, dan berat 100 biji tetapi berpengaruh
tidak nyata terhadap Jumlah Polong Hampa per Tanaman.
Interaksi berpengaruh nyata terhadap waktu berkecambah, daya kecambah
benih, bobot kering tanaman dan jumlah polong isi tanaman tetapi tidak
berpengaruh nyata terhadap Panjang akar, Bobot Kering Akar, berat 100
biji dan Jumlah Polong Hampa per Tanaman
